Flagship — for personal injury claimants
Plaintiff Loans
Financial support for personal injury claimants while their claim runs its course — with no credit check, no repayments along the way, and repayment only when compensation is received.
A personal injury claim can take months or years to resolve. During that time, many claimants face a difficult combination of reduced income, ongoing medical and rehabilitation costs, and household bills that keep arriving. The compensation will come — but it may not arrive when it is needed most.
Through Australian Legal Concierge, eligible personal injury claimants can be connected with a specialist plaintiff loan provider who lends specifically against the value of a pending personal injury claim.
How it works
Five steps to financial support
- 01
Step 1. You speak with a solicitor in our personal injury network about your claim.
- 02
Step 2. If you would like financial support while your claim is on foot, we can connect you with the plaintiff loan provider.
- 03
Step 3. The lender assesses your application based on the strength of your claim — not on your credit history.
- 04
Step 4. If approved, funds are advanced for approved purposes. You make no repayments while your claim is on foot.
- 05
Step 5. When your claim settles and compensation is received, the loan is repaid from the settlement proceeds.

Approved purposes
What the loan can be used for
The plaintiff loan facility is designed to relieve the specific financial pressures personal injury claimants commonly face while their claim is running. Approved purposes include:
Medical expenses
Treatment, surgery, specialist appointments, rehabilitation, allied health, medications and assistive equipment not covered (or not fully covered) by insurance, Medicare, workers' compensation or CTP arrangements.
Household costs
Everyday living expenses where your earning capacity has been affected by your injury, including rent or mortgage payments, utilities, groceries, transport and the basic costs of running a home.
Legal disbursements
Out-of-pocket costs your solicitor needs to incur to advance your claim, such as medical report fees, expert witness costs, court filing fees and investigation expenses.
The loan is not a general-purpose personal loan and is not available for discretionary spending.
Is it right for you?
A plaintiff loan can be genuinely helpful for claimants facing hardship while their case runs. It is, however, a commercial product with fees and interest charged by the lender, and the amount repaid at settlement will be more than the amount advanced. Whether it is the right option depends on your circumstances — including the strength of your claim, the likely time to resolution, and the other financial supports available to you.
Before applying, you should:
- Discuss the option with your solicitor
- Read the lender's product disclosure documents carefully
- Consider whether any free or lower-cost support is available to you first (such as workers' compensation weekly payments, CTP statutory benefits, Centrelink, or hardship support from utility providers)
- Seek independent financial advice if you are unsure
